ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Citizenship It is open for any foreign citizens to submit applications in order to study, specialize or work as a researcher at the NUM regardless of their nationalities
Educational background Applicants who are interested in pursuing degree programs at the NUM should have acquired previous educational background equivalent to standards of Mongolia
Mongolian language proficiency Classes are conducted in Mongolian at the NUM. Thus, applicants enrolling at a degree program should provide the evidence of Mongolian language proficiency and submit an official document/certificate or take an entrance exam.
Others Applicants obliged to meet admission requirements of the respective department/school of the NUM and give specific entrance exam apart from Mongolian language exam.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Bachelor degree applicants
  1. Application form Download 1
  2. Medical form /*must be signed and stamped by hospital doctor/ Download 2
  3. International student pledge Download 3
  4. HIV test (for last three months)
  5. Notary certified copy of secondary education /high school/ diploma and transcript.
  6. Official notary certified translation of secondary education /high school/ diploma and transcripts in Mongolian.
  7. Bachelor degree applicants who earned secondary education degree from Mongolian high schools must take Mongolian University Entrance Examination (ЭЕШ)
  8. Recommendation letter from professor or supervisor /*only for graduate applicants/
  9. Proof of Mongolian language proficiency /certificate/
  10.  2 passport sized photos 3*4
  11.  Copy of valid passport
  12.  Proof of financial support /approx. 9 million MNT/
  13.  Application fee – 130.300MNT/ 50USD *must be transferred to bank account
  14.  Visa fee – 7500MNT (by cash) *after receiving acceptance letter
Graduate degree applicants /Master, Doctor/
  1.  Application form Download 1

  4.  HIV test (for last three months)
  5.  Notary certified copy of a diploma /Master applicants should issue Bachelor degree diploma, Doctor applicants should issue Master degree diploma/ of previous study and transcript.
  6.   Official notary certified translation of diploma of previous study and transcripts in Mongolian.
  7. Recommendation letter from professor or supervisor
  8. Proof of Mongolian language proficiency /certificate/ *please do note that applicants without language knowledge proof must take Mongolian language exam
  9.  2 passport sized photos 3*4
  10.  Copy of valid passport
  11.  Proof of financial support /approx. 9 million MNT/
  12.  Application fee payment bank note – 130.300MNT/ 50USD *must be transferred to bank account

Non-degree applicant /Mongolian language program/

Ø  Documents must be scanned as one PDF file if sent by email

Ø  Document copies taken by camera and with Word, Excel, JPG, PNG extensions won’t be accepted
